
DANCE & MOVEMENT
Classes themes focus on engaging oppositional lines of force, grounding techniques, anatomical imagery, fluidity within weight shifting and transitions, allowing the mover to hone in on sensory awareness and create more space in the joints,. We will engage and strengthen our sense of placement and balance through a slow and sustained, embodied warmup incorporating elements from contemporary floor-work, yoga and conditioning, Feldenkreis principles, and breath-work, bringing us up onto our feet for contemporary phrase-work, and ending with short improvisation play. We'll practice gathering into and away from our centers, the texture with which our body meets the space, and integrating both line/shape and release technique with a childlike curiosity and non-judgmental attitude!

Class levels range from Beginner to Professional. All bodies and ages are welcome!
